The report was written by Army Lt. Col. Wayne M. McDonnell—not by the CIA and not by Bentov. It is housed in the CIA’s STAR GATE records. Bentov had died in 1979, nearly four years before the report was written, but his biomedical and consciousness models became part of its scientific framework.

The brain figures are reproduced exactly as they appear in the declassified file and are attributed there to Itzhak Bentov’s Stalking the Wild Pendulum.
